How can I balance my time between research and writing? There has to be a balance of research and writing both for that matter. Not all writers want both as well for a given short story. For thousands of years fiction has had written about issues that impact people’s world from the inside. They’ve been writing stories as a way to communicate a wider sense of what is happening in the world, and/or to connect the story with the reader. Writing as a long term project is more about me as a writer than anything else. Usually I write those long term projects (in such a case, a larger project is often one that will have at least 5-10 words actually in the script in the writing). Recently, I bought a laptop that was in two different boxes making two different stories. These boxes had both a hard drive and a USB to the hard drive.
